AGVs can generally control their travel routes and behavior through computers, or use electromagnetic tracks to set up their travel routes. The electromagnetic tracks are glued to the floor, and the unmanned vehicles rely on the messages brought by the electromagnetic tracks to move and act.
Introduction of AGV
Automated Guided Vehicle, also known as AGV, is a transportation vehicle equipped with automatic guidance devices such as electromagnetic or optical, capable of traveling along a prescribed guidance path, with safety protection and various load shifting functions, and without a driver in industrial applications.

Generally, the route and behavior can be controlled by computer, or the electromagnetic track can be used to set up its route. The electromagnetic track is stuck on the floor, and the unmanned vehicle relies on the information brought by the electromagnetic track to move and act.
Types of AGV
1. Submerged type: submerged into the bottom of the material car, automatic hook-up and separation to achieve material delivery and recovery operations.
2. Traction type: automatic hook-up and unhooking mechanism through the tail to achieve material car traction.
3. Self-unloading type: Backpack platform, using drums, belts or other ways to achieve material docking.
4. Lifting type: Backpack platform can automatically lift the material, and can run synchronously with the assembly line operation.
5. Forklift type: Use open forklift for material handling.
Advantages
① High degree of automation; controlled by computer, electric control equipment, magnetic induction SENSOR, laser reflection plate, etc. When a certain part of the workshop needs auxiliary materials, the staff will input relevant information to the computer terminal, which will then send the information to the central control room, and the professional technicians will send instructions to the computer, and with the cooperation of the electronic control equipment, this instruction will be finally accepted and executed by the AGV - to send the auxiliary materials to the corresponding place.
② Charging automation; when the power of the AGV is about to run out, it will send a request command to the system to request charging (usually the technician will set a value in advance), and then automatically go to the charging place to "queue" for charging after the system allows. In addition, the battery life of AGV trolley is long (more than 2 years), and it can work about 4h for every 15 minutes of charging.
③Aesthetic, improve the ornamental degree, and thus improve the image of the enterprise.
④ Convenient, reduce the floor space; the AGV trolley in the production workshop can shuttle back and forth in each workshop.
